Interview with the QParks Snowboard Tour winners Florian Galler and Klara Dinold

Hey you two winners. Again, congratulations for winning the QParks Tour 2011/12. Do you already have ideas about what you want to do with the prize money?

Klara: "I could do a little celebrating already on Sunday. But for me, unfortunately, not much more. It’s always difficult with contests on Sunday, if you need to work on Monday and still have to drive!"

Flo: "I will go on a surfing trip to Spain with the money."

Vor dem Tour Finale am Dachstein war es ja bei euch beiden noch richtig spannend. Habt ihr von vornherein damit gerechnet, den Overall Sieg einzufahren?

Klara: „Sure I have hoped for it, but my advantage was not big enough to lean back. Morever, the triple value of the finals gave bigger chances for the other girls!“

Flo: „No I didn’t count with it, as I knew how well Jonel rides. If I was just one place behind him, I would have lost the overall ranking to him.“

How did you like the QParks Tour 2011/12 in total? What was your highlight? Were there any particularly exciting tour stops, or did you succeed in creating a new trick on which you’re particularly stoked?

Klara: "As corny as it sounds, but the tour stops you win are always the best, right?"

Flo: "My highlight was my first win at the Hochkönig! After four second place finishes in a row!"

In general, how do you like the idea of a snowpark tour involving consequent events with tour standings?

Klara: "The idea to combine as many QParks with a tour is great. This makes it really pay off to even go to the other end of Austria! [Laughs]"

Flo: "Yes, I think the tour is cool, especially fir it is about good money and not just hoodies and T-shirts. That does not mean that I only take part because of the money, but it motivates more than just a stop in my home park!"

The QParks Tour will be back in 2012/2013. Will you again be at the start and try to defend your title?

Klara: "We will see. I decide that the week before a tourstop, so you better ask again next year.”

Flo: "Yes I will definitely be back to ride a few stops and I’ll do my best."
